The Dawn
In 2022, we premiered ‘When I Wake’ at Amazon Studios in Culver City and held a community screening in Chicago at Columbia College where we received an incredible amount of support that encouraged us to continue this journey, not only in the stories we tell, but in the spaces we cultivate for those seeking a creative collective.
With the knowledge and experiences we acquired over the years, we returned to the drawing board with humble beginnings for our production company, Lucid Village. Inspired by the proverb, it takes a village, our company serves as a dynamic hub for independent and collaborative work, fostering an ecosystem of support for fellow artists, with resources and opportunities from development to production.

Throughout the pandemic well into the school year, we worked with a small budget. Despite many circumstances that tested our patience, we trusted our visions and the production ultimately became a testament to our passion and persistence as creatives and storytellers within our communities.
