Born on the south side of Chicago, Brooklyn-Raye is a multifaceted artist, healer, and light worker whose creative endeavors are deeply rooted in community, love, and the profound exploration of life's wonders. With a foundation in music production and event curation, she brings boundless enthusiasm to her role as executive producer and art director at Lucid Village Productions. Through her work, she seeks to inspire, uplift, and connect individuals, weaving together diverse artistic expressions to foster meaningful experiences and connections within her community and beyond.

Brianna Mottey (She/They)

Co-Founder/ Head of Creative Development

Brianna Mottey is an Afro-surrealist poet, storyteller, and visual artist, channeling her creativity through realms of ancestral knowledge and experiences that inspire and uplift imaginative spaces and healing narratives toward social justice and liberation. With a BFA in Communications and a background in community organizing, Brianna offers a rich perspective and experience to her role as Head of Creative Development, nurturing a collaborative environment generated by unique and compelling concepts.

Shamar Binns (He/Him)

Creative Advisor

An Afro-Caribbean filmmaker with Jamaican roots Shamar channels his heritage and filmmaking education from the University of the Arts into crafting compelling narratives that explore the richness of the black and Caribbean communities. Through his films, Shamar illuminates cultural insights and perspectives, offering audiences thought-provoking glimpses into the diverse experiences within these communities. His dedication to storytelling serves as a bridge for social dialogue and understanding, amplifying marginalized voices and celebrating resilience. Shamar Binns' work stands as a testament to the transformative power of film, inviting viewers to engage with the vibrant tapestry of Afro-Caribbean culture and the universal human experience.

Julian Thedford (He/Him)

Co-Founder / Head of Production

Julian Thedford is an Award Winning Director, DP, Producer, and Editor, known for his vibrant and poetic approach with a penchant for elements of surrealism. Originally from the Southside of Chicago, his work is committed to uplifting the voices and experiences of his community. As the Head of Production, Julian spearheads a dynamic team dedicated to pushing the boundaries of creativity and innovation. With an innate understanding of the human experience and a keen eye for detail, his storytelling transcends convention, amplifying marginalized narratives while celebrating the human spirit.

Trey Massie (He/Him)

Head of Business Development

Trey Massie is a forward-thinking, self-disciplined, enterprising individual who is presently involved in real estate and business in his hometown of Atlanta GA. Trey, who earned a business management degree from Howard University, contributes structure, enthusiasm and originality to LVP. He also hopes to assist other creatives within the Village as we realize our potential, and to help us attain our ultimate objective of becoming community leaders. 

Camryn Mather (She/Her)

Visual Artist

Camryn Mather, also known as CAM is a multimedia visual artist with experience in painting, graphic design, upcycled clothing, and motion graphics. She is dedicated to curating hubs for community and connection through the universal languages of art. She is a creative entrepreneur with aims to ensure prosperity for artists through events, exhibitions, galleries, and collaboration. Camryn’s vocation of community organization roots from the idea that artists should not starve. 

KD the Mellow Soul (She/Her)

Musical Composer / Sound Engineer

Kristyna Dye, better known as KD the Mellow Soul, is a talented multi-instrumentalist and producer based in Philadelphia, PA. Originally from Harrisburg, PA and later raised in Chicago, IL, KD's unique musical style is heavily influenced by a diverse range of artists and genres from various cities. Armed with a Bachelor's degree in Music Business, Entrepreneurship, and Technology, KD remains dedicated to collaborating and showcasing her skills alongside incredibly talented artists globally.

Christian Cabrera, A.K.A CRiX Is an all-around artist with a heavy focus on expressing the Mind, Body, & Spirit through Music, Film, and Martial Arts. Throughout the past decade, he has greatly experimented with these three mediums and collaborated with many like-minded groups and individuals, which revealed to him many different aspects of who he is.  “YoUR PsYCHoPoMP” is the one who helps guide you into the next realm once this one no longer serves you. CRiX strives to lead everyone willing to better themselves and everyone around them into our light while understanding our darkness, so we could all tap into our greatest potential.

They work to build intricate worlds for their readers to get lost in, and is known for crafting thematically rich stories and characters meant to display the depths of the conscious mind. With hands-on experience in the magnitude of such larger projects, and an unmatched dedication to their characters and themes, they offer  limitless drive and unmatched creative passion.
